{Tutorial} Kpop Girl Group-inspired Makeup~!

The long-awaited tutorial is here! If you are obsessed with Kpop (Me! Me!), you've probably noticed that a number of Korean girl groups have pretty similar eye makeup commonly worn in almost every video; main focus on eyes, heavy to dramatic eyeliner (fishtail/winged to be specific), minimal eyeshadow and natural lips and cheeks. Now you too, can be just like Park Bom, Taeyeon, Son Gain, or Hara, and star in your own (imaginary) girl group with my own version of a really easy step-by-step Kpop Girl Group-inspired makeup tutorial! Warning: This WILL NOT help improve your dancing capabilities. You'll have to practice the "bow and arrow", "butt dance", and the "Abracadabra" in your own time. Think of this as a mere confidence booster. ;) So prepare for your finest selca poses, plump up that "aegyo fat" and let your inner Kpop star shine through~! 화이팅~!

Examples of this look can be found in a number of 2ne1's videos and most recently 4minute's new "Mirror Mirror" MV.

Prime the eyes and apply a black gel/liquid/pencil eyeliner right across the top lid as you would normally line them.

Draw a line going up at a slight angle, about 1cm long at the outer corner of your eye, at the end of the line you previously made.

Now connect the end of that line to the line on your top lid to create a thicker line and fill-in.

Using the tip of an eyeliner, draw a small triangular shape right below the outer corner of your lower lash line, beneath the winged line created previously. This creates a guide for the next step.

Fill-in the triangular shape and line along your lower waterline. And if you haven't done already, line your upper waterline as well.

Take a shimmery/pearlescent white eyeshadow and lightly swipe the color across the entire lid and use it to line the lower lids and inner corners. Now take a silver liquid glitter liner and apply it right over the area under the eye near the inner corners and below the area where you used the black liner.

Finish off the eye area by lining the inner corners of your eyes using black eyeliner. Curl lashes, apply a lengthening mascara, and add wispy false lashes.

Top it off with...

Take a cream blush as a base and apply it right along the apple of the cheeks and blend with fingers.

With a fluffy blush brush, lightly dab powder blush over the cream blush and blend in a circular motion. The cream blush helps the blush itself last longer.

Make sure lips are exfoliated and moisturized with a lip balm. Apply a peachy-orange lipstick and a peachy-orange lipgloss to finalize the entire look.

And there you have it!

I've been wearing this look so much and I've received a lot of compliments on it and I just think this is great for any occasion. It says a lot without being too over the top and it can be worn day or night. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial! Let me know what you think! ^ㅂ^
