{Tutorial} VIXX "On and On" Inspired Makeup

 Guess who's back.

Well I guess you can say I'm back, for now at least! It's been two years ('too long' years) since my last post and a lot has been going on and some things have changed, but I'll save that gibberish for another post. One thing that hasn't changed a bit is my love for Korean music. And it only grew. I'm not even kidding. Once you're sucked into it, there is no way out and that's no exaggeration.

{Tutorial} Peekablue! ㅋㅋ

HEY everybody! Hope you all had a great July 4th~! I'm sorry for not updating in a while..again! One of the reasons being the HEAT lately. It completely discouraged me to wear any makeup at all. Summer has just been torture. What's the point of wearing it if it's just going to MELT right off as soon as I leave the house? So yeah, I apologize society had to witness a disturbing display of BARE FACE for about a week or two. Haha.

{Tutorial} Kpop Girl Group-inspired Makeup~!

The long-awaited tutorial is here! If you are obsessed with Kpop (Me! Me!), you've probably noticed that a number of Korean girl groups have pretty similar eye makeup commonly worn in almost every video; main focus on eyes, heavy to dramatic eyeliner (fishtail/winged to be specific), minimal eyeshadow and natural lips and cheeks. Now you too, can be just like Park Bom, Taeyeon, Son Gain, or Hara, and star in your own (imaginary) girl group with my own version of a really easy step-by-step Kpop Girl Group-inspired makeup tutorial! Warning: This WILL NOT help improve your dancing capabilities. You'll have to practice the "bow and arrow", "butt dance", and the "Abracadabra" in your own time. Think of this as a mere confidence booster. ;) So prepare for your finest selca poses, plump up that "aegyo fat" and let your inner Kpop star shine through~! 화이팅~!

{Tutorial} MBLAQ "Stay"-inspired Eye Makeup!

Hey everyone! I'm super super excited for this blog today because it's another tutorial! Yay for my second one! I was a bit skeptical because I wasn't sure about what particular look I would do. I did have a few ideas in mind, but I was set on doing a Japanese Hime-Gyaru inspired look. THAT quickly changed this morning when I discovered that MBLAQ just released their new video for, "Stay". AND I WAS STOKED. Not only is the video great but the song is incredibly catchy as well. But the thing that tops the cake was the makeup. I don't know maybe it's just me, but my eyes ALWAYS look directly for makeup, and for this one, it is absolutely AMAZIN! Not only that, but it's men that are rocking it! Rocking it well I might add! Seriously, who HASN'T seen a guy in makeup? There are plenty of music videos featuring men wearing eye makeup. The Kpop industry seems to fancy it a lot for concepts lately. 2PM, Rain, U-Kiss, etc. and now MBLAQ has been sporting heavy eye makeup. Not to mention, very FIERCE eye makeup.

I'M BACK.

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone has had an incredible and safe NYE night! It's time for me to yet again resurrect my poor blog! Decided to post up a look I've been sporting lately that focuses mainly on black eyeliner that most identify as the, "Fishtail" or "Double Wing" eyeliner. OR as I like to call it, "BOM Liner"!

TADUUNN~!

For those of you know don't know, Park Bom is a member of my ABSOLUTEFAVORITE KPop girl group, 2NE1. She's known not only for her killer pipes, but for her double eyelids. Regardless if she's had eyelid surgery or not, she's still beyond gorgeous and she works any fierce eye makeup. I ADORE her. I'm a bit obsessed with her to be quite honest. She's the main inspiration for this look that I CANNOT get enough of. I don't think I've gone back to applying my liner the normal way after trying this look months ago. It's so pretty and it can either be worn day or night, casual or dramatic. It all depends on how you apply it~ Not to mention, this look will definitely give the illusion of a bigger, slightly wider eye.

Now back to my eyeball.

The "Fishtail" effect is when the eyeliner is extended farther than the natural lash lines and slightly winged at opposite ends. You can achieve this by using any type of eyeliner. I personally use liquid liner for the upper lash line and a mechanical liner for the lower lash line which gives a softer look. For those who are new to this and for those who are not particularly skilled on using liquid liner, you can use gel liner for better control.
You can also spruce it up a bit by slightly outlining the Fishtail liner with eyeshadow, like I did above. I used a subtle metallic copper to soften the edges and to add color and depth to my eyelids. I also VERY SLIGHTLY extended the inner corners of my eye using the tip of a liquid liner brush and added a bit of silver cosmetic glitter underneath for added drama. Don't extend your inner corners too much, unless you're going for a Cleopatra look. ;3

DON'T FORGET THE LASHES!!
I used #10 lashes from DAISO.

Speaking of Daiso, I will definitely post an, "All things Asian" haul featuring things I've recently purchased from Asian markets and boutiques. I've got tons to still photograph! So yes~ I'm really going to try my best to blog more often this year. I've also been thinking of making this blog more than just for makeup. I really don't have any other place to blog about my adventures and daily shenanigans with the exception of my Tumblr which consists of nothing but random reblogs of random photos of random kpop stars, random cupcakes, random teacups, and random but ADORABLE French Bulldogs. Not a place to be taken seriously, just someplace to hang and enjoy myself and spend 4 hours looking at THIS.
SO hopefullyy~~ I'll try to be a more interesting person this year to write MORE in my blog....WHICH IF YOU HAVEN'T NOTICED, my nerdy brother totally pimped out!! It's all pretty and not embarrassingly PLAIN!!! He's so cool! So if you're reading this Nick, thanks bruh! But it's the least you can do since I got you those noise-canceling headphones for Christmas. ;D lolojkjk.
Thanks for reading! And hope you all have an AMAZING 2011!

I'm not angry, this is my model face.
