Update and Mini Haul!

Photobucket
Hope everyone's enjoying Spring so far! I haven't been blogging in a good month! So much has just been going on (the good, bad, you name it) and I just needed time to regroup and regain some encouragement to start blogging again. But now, I've finally got my fix back. Good grief! Just this morning, we got our car back from the body shop. Long story short, car accidents suck! Good news is that no one was hurt except for our beloved SUV. After a few bumps and bruises here and there and a few thousand dollars later (thank god for insurance!), all is well now. What's important is that everyone is okay. :)

In other news, I've got some NYX goodies to share and review with you all! I finally went to another beauty supply shop I saw across town that I've always wanted to scour through like a raging maniac but never got around to until recently. They carried a surprisingly large amount of NYX products! Bad news is that that don't carry their lipsticks, BIG bummer. I did get a blush, a gloss, and a mascara that weren't available in our other local beauty supply, so props to them. I also got a Revlon lippy from Target and it's a true ORANGE!

After seeing Etude House's Miss Tangerine line earlier this year, I knew orange was going to be a huge hit for spring and since Etude House isn't available in the US, I needed an alternative. These products are just that!

Watch Sandara's CF for Etude House's Miss Tangerine!

1. NYX Blush in Cinnamon: I am in love with NYX blushes first of all. They're definitely true to their color and a little goes a long way. Very pigmented. They're somewhat chalky, but it doesn't bother me much. I apply it very lightly for a natural peachy flush of color. As for lasting power, for me, it lasted about 4-5 hours with very little fading.

2. NYX Mega Shine Lipgloss in Crystal Soda: For some reason, this particular gloss smells like grape rather than the typical cherry scent that I'm used to and prefer. That's my only complaint, other than that, it's not too thick, not too sticky, pretty long-lasting for me and I don't have the need to re-apply so often. This one has orange shimmers and goes on a peachy-sheer. It lives up to the name!

3. Revlon Super Lusrous Siren lipstick (correction, NOT 24k Orange. I apologize for the confusion!): A true orange. A bit on the reddish side, but very slight. It has a creamy formula and applies smooth. I was afraid that it'd make my teeth look horribly yellow, which what orange-based lippy tend to do, but this didn't do it for me. The lasting power is pretty good as well. About 3-4 hours w/o re-applying.

4. NYX Doll Eye Mascara: Probably one of the best mascaras I've used. It lengthens and gives volume in two applications. However, it does dry pretty fast in between applying, so you'll have to be really quick if you want to coat it more than 4x, which I don't think you really need with this mascara since it does a great job w/ just two coats.

Hope you enjoyed! It feels good to be back and blogging!
