T.I.L.T.!

Happy Thursday...er...Friday! I meant to post this yesterday, but I got caught up in the World Series..GO SF GIANTS!! So I've been trying to find ways to encourage myself to post often by reading up and catching up on some of my recently bookmarked blogs. Figured I need some inspiration! I noticed several of them posting "Things I Love Thursday" and I've always loved the idea, just never got around to posting one myself! It took sometime to think if I should include this concept into my blog since the sole purpose of it was to post looks, plain and simple. Thing is, I'm NOT a plain and simple person lol! But the more I think about it, the more I want my blog to be more than just for looks alone. Less boring, if you will. SO dear readers (or lack thereof), I bring you my first attempt to 'expand' my blog with none other than a THINGS I LOVE THURSDAY!! 8D

Complete with picSPAM! HERE WE GO~~~

My favorite accessories at the moment! My "grampa" glasses, a really nice brown satchel I thrifted for $2!! And a huge ring from Torrid I got on a 2 for 1 sale.

BB CREAM! Oh my dear child. This should be on the top of my list for 'LOVES'. These are Skin79 BB Cream samples (in Pink label and Gold label) I scored from an Asian boutique in Richmond and I so far, I completely love them. BB Cream is basically a, "Blemish Balm" that works both as a skin care and makeup product. It's said to improve the skin's condition while evening out skin tone and giving coverage to flaws i.e. dark circles, blemishes etc. It's also said to have anti-wrinkle benefits, whitening, and UV ray protection. All it is really is an 'All in One' product.
I've always wanted to try bb creams, but was often skeptical because, A) It's a foreign product. I didn't know if this product would be 'safe' for my skin and my skin type. Come on, I know I'm not the only one who can't help but to be somewhat freaked out about foreign products/formulas and of the like.. B) I breakout easily and my skin doesn't necessarily adjust well to new products. But fortunately, after applying the Pink label bb cream, I was surprised that nothing happened! I wore it the whole day, expecting my face would explode with acne or other rather gross skin reactions, but absolutely nothing happened. I've tried both the creams and I have nothing bad to say about them, except the fact that the sample shades were a shade too light for my skin tone. Also, the Pink label's consistency was a tad thicker and doesn't blend as easily and smoothly as the Gold label's, whereas the Gold label had a really nice silky application. It also has gold (hence the name) and caviar extracts that helps the improvement of wrinkles. Another thing I want to point out is that this product apparently helps whiten the skin as well. I personally haven't seen that change in my skin yet because I've only tried this stuff twice, but I plan on purchasing a full size soon, so I will def get back to you on that. ;)
This product is overall amazing. I like this better than foundation because BB Cream is really light, and all you need is literally a teeny-tiny dollop for your entire face, that's it. Another thing is that this is a good product for those who like a really sheer coverage for their face, like me. If what you're looking for is full-on, plastered, heavy coverage some foundations provide, then this isn't for you. This also cut my makeup time in half by taking a step out of my regular routine. I usually put on a primer to mostly fill-in my huge, "crater pores", and with this, I didn't even need to do that, it does it for me. I think that's what amazed me most because foundation alone can't do that.
My ONE and ONLY complain about this product is that it only comes in light to medium-light shades since this originally catered to the Asian skin-type. BB cream would be BEYOND perfect if it were available in all skin tones. Every girl should be able to experience this wonderful wonderful product. END RAMBLE!!! I get too carried away I swear!

MOVING ON...These are my favorite everyday makeup products. Palladio's Rice Powder in Translucent is an oil-absorbing powder that I cannot live without. It's great for the entire face, but I mostly apply it on my eyelids setting the primer I use for my "Fish tail" (I CALL IT BOM-LINER! :D) eyeliner, and for that I use L'Oreal's Carbon Black Telescopic Precision Liquid Eyeliner and I use Kiss eyeliner for my water lines. They're all work great, you can find them in drugstores/beauty supply shops and are really inexpensive. For my lips I've recently found a coral lipstick that I completely fell in love with and that's NYX's round lipstick in Femme. Oh. My. Lawd. It is the most incredible red-orange lippy. I just apply it by patting it lightly on my lips to give it a really subtle peach color. This really surprised me because it's really long-lasting. It does however, get a bit dry after a while, so just make sure to apply Chapstick underneath if it bothers you that much, or a lipgloss on top. Overall, I love it. Thank god I snagged the last one!

VASELINE. I use this solely for my lips. It just keeps them really moisturized throughout the day.

Bath and Body Works Dark Kiss Triple Moisture Body Cream. I let my aunt try it and she said it smelled like a hookah bar. HAHAHA. Found that really odd, then again I wouldn't know since I've never been to one...Anyways,I found this scent supersuper similar to Marc Jacob's LOLA, which I really love..that's why I bought this..annd the body mist. YAY new product sales!

I don't care what anyone says, EVERYONE should use moisturizer. EVERYONE. It doesn't matter if you have the most baby soft skin on the planet, or if for some reason you think you don't need it...USE MOISTURIZER. Your future self will thank you. Eucerine is great since it's extremely gentle and won't break you out or clog your pores. It also has SPF which is very important! When I don't feel like putting on makeup, this is all I put on my face. Everyday. DO EET.

Last and certainly not the least, my little trip to France and Korea...

Hopefully you all enjoyed this fairly longer than I expected TILT! Hope I'll be able to do this every week or so..until then, thanks for reading!
