{Looks} POW

{click the silliness for larger view}

Hope everyone is having an amazing week so far! Today's look is a lot more wearable with a simple eye, and lips with a hard-hitting POW. I know I told myself that this was the week I'd do a really elaborate look much like ANIMATE, but I've been feeling pretty down today and I just wasn't in the mood to go all out at all. With that, I haven't had much of a drive either, so I am pretty disappointed with myself. But I figured I'd do a blog post, maybe then I could keep my cool and hopefully distract myself from, "real life" and get away for short millisecond.

Ain't nothin' a tube of hotpink lipstick can't fix!

{Looks} ANIMATE

{click for larger view}

I say, "Random" because this isn't your average-everyday "Face of the Day" most are used to. I don't do looks everyday since I don't wear makeup everyday. Haha. So make this be one of the many posts for looks I feel inspired to do on any given day.

{Looks} Japanese Gyaru-inspired~

Photobucket

Lots of attempted cuteness in today's blog post. So if you aren't into all that cloud9 fluffyness, avert eyes now~! (> 3<)o*:.~
This week has been such a downer that I needed a pick-me-up and decided, why not play around with makeup? That (obviously) brightens up my mood! So I opted for the long-awaited Gyaru-inspired look that I've longed to full-on try out. Basically a Gyaru is a Japanese term for fashion-forward girls with a doll-like appearance. There are tons of variations of Gyaru.
My first attempt on the Gyaru look was not too long ago, but it somehow ended turning up Visual Kei-ish, which I've done and experimented with many times in the past. But I think I nailed it this time. I'm pretty satisfied with the way it turned out!

{Tutorial} Valentine's Day Date look! Part 2!

Photobucket

Child, you have been living under a rock if you don't get what this adorable card is trying to tell you! Check out In-vita Paper Studio's Etsy shop along with other, "Pretty Things on paper"! Also, how UBER CUTE is this?!

Hey guys! This is Part 2 of my V-day tutorial series! You can check out Part 1, which is a Daytime Date look, here. To be honest, I was supposed to post this right after Part 1, but just after I was getting done taking pics for this Date Night look, I uploaded them and I felt like something just wasn't right. I guess I just wasn't fully satisfied with the outcome. The photos were so-so, in my opinion. I showed it to my mom and she said there wasn't anything wrong with them. I thought otherwise. I just thought I could've done a better job. I was going to do a simple taupe eyeshadow look, with a dramatic winged eyeliner..but I KNEW I had more to offer than just..that. I admit I can be perfectionist, so with that said, I did the entire look over. But you know, it was worth it. If I know I'm happy (and COMPLETELY satisfied) with my work, I know you all will be happy with it as well, rather than me looking back on it and have regrets and "what-if's".

{Tutorial} Valentine's Day Date look! Part 1!

Photobucket
*Haha. Cute right! Photo credit to sweetperversion's Etsy shop! I ran across this whilst looking for Valentine cards online. Check out the shop, I really love the humorous concept of this stationary! Definitely not your everyday average greeting cards. They're incredibly charming!

Hey guys! Valentine's Day is just around the corner, so I came up with day and night date-appropriate looks to wear especially for the occasion! This post is part 1 of 2 of my Vday tutorial series. The second tutorial I'll post up sometime this week. I meant to post this yesterday, but I was struck with Writer's Block. Poo.

Part 1 is a daytime look, really suitable for outdoor dates, picnics, you get the gist. I used purple and lilac tones vibrant enough to make a statement, but still subtle enough to be wearable, even for everyday! You'll love this especially if you're into wearing minimal makeup. We're not going to be caking on the foundation, lovelies! There's a huge difference between concealing our flaws and completely disguising what we really look like. So be careful when applying your foundation and concealer and try not to be cake-happy! A thin layer will do. Also, make sure everything's evened out and blended in together, espesh the area around your jawline, hairline, and ears.
No falsies for this look, I'm sorry to say! As a lover of false eyelashes, it's definitely hard to transition to make due without them, but I wanted this look to be as natural and light as possible.

T.I.L.T.!

Happy Thursday...er...Friday! I meant to post this yesterday, but I got caught up in the World Series..GO SF GIANTS!! So I've been trying to find ways to encourage myself to post often by reading up and catching up on some of my recently bookmarked blogs. Figured I need some inspiration! I noticed several of them posting "Things I Love Thursday" and I've always loved the idea, just never got around to posting one myself! It took sometime to think if I should include this concept into my blog since the sole purpose of it was to post looks, plain and simple. Thing is, I'm NOT a plain and simple person lol! But the more I think about it, the more I want my blog to be more than just for looks alone. Less boring, if you will. SO dear readers (or lack thereof), I bring you my first attempt to 'expand' my blog with none other than a THINGS I LOVE THURSDAY!! 8D

Complete with picSPAM! HERE WE GO~~~

People! I've FINALLY been inspired to come up with a few Halloween looks! I've been in a slump for the longest time. I had absolutely no drive, no ideas...nothing! It's CRAZY because I look forward to Halloween all the time, it's my favorite holiday and I didn't really think much of it 'til a few weeks ago. Ashamed!! Everyone knows that I'm ALWAYS ready for Halloween MONTHS in advanced, but for some reason, I was completely clueless this year. Sad.
But thanks to a bit of internet surfing/nerding, I managed to accumulate a surprisingly good amount of inspiration!

"Ako ba yan?! Sino yan?!" ("Is that me?! Who IS that?!")

So this past weekend I had the opportunity to do mini-makeovers on a handful of already gorgeous ladies, who in my opinion never needed the makeovers to begin with, but they insisted to have fun anyway. Of course, I couldn't say no to that. You mix makeup and a group of spunky women, without a doubt, there's some fun that's BOUND to happen. ;)

{Looks} "But, before the sun sets on her 16th birthday, she shall prick her finger, on the spindle of a spinning wheel - AND DIE!"

I LOVE DISNEY! This a more avant garde look inspired by Sleeping Beauty's Maleficent, who is dubbed the most powerful and sinister amongst all Disney Villains. Ain't she a feisty one? ;)
I chose this particular character mainly because of her color scheme. The purples, the greens, yellows, reds, just are really nice contrasts all in one little pool which in my opinion are fun to play around and work with. So I really enjoyed putting this look together. :) And yes, I only used all drugstore products and my 88 palette.
I feel strangely powerful with all this makeup on...haha. I hope you all like it! Ciao!

{Looks} Red Velvet. Yay! First post!

Hello everyone! First off I'd like to thank you for viewing my blog! There have been several times where I have wanted to start an official makeup blog, but due to the fabulous word that is PROCRASTINATION, I didn't start one until now. So yes, I am very excited to share with you all my many looks! Good, bad, dramatic, simple, and avant garde. I love to experiment with different colors, techniques and cosmetics brands. Although it may shock some of you, espesh to all makeup fanatics alike, I have never owned nor have I ever tried on any of the higher-end type of brands, i.e. MAC Cosmetics, Urban Decay, etc. So I cannot really compare my looks or any of the products I use to any of that. Don't get me wrong, I don't have ANY problems whatsoever with expensive brands. To be honest, in this day and age, I just don't have the extra MOOLAH to shell out for this wondrous swag, and I'm sure many understand and know exactly what I mean.
What I'm also trying to achieve for this blog is to show readers the alternative (also very affordable) way to get a similar look with drugstore brand and obscure products. From grocery stores, to dollar warehouses, you'll never know if you'll find some buried treasure. And if it's not to your liking, what have you got to lose? It's not like you've spent a fortune, amirite? So never underestimate the power and the potential of cheaper goods! ;)
It's also great that I have a mother who raised me to be a kick-ass bargain hunter. Thanks Ma! ♥
Another reason I decided to finally start this blog is to find a place where I can store all my makeup photos/looks for all to view since my Facebook page has been ridiculously and constantly flooding with them. Haha. Also, this is a really great way where I can finally show the world what I've got to offer and deliver..and hopefully, that can help take me far. :)
Well hope you guys enjoy and hopefully keep reading on! Take care and have fun on this March 1st! :)
