Hey everybody! I apologize for the lack of blogs lately, I unfortch caught the damn flu! > n<~
To make up for it, I've got a HUGE post on my Asian HAUL! These are items I've collected from the past couple months and bought @ various Asian beauty supplies, boutiques and Japantown in SF. I am NOT trying to brag at all about the the stuff I have, it's just for those who are just plain curious at what Asian markets have available. This is just a peek! There are soooo much more.
First on my list, is this Japanese Beauty Mag called EGG. It's actually a fashion magazine, but this particular edition is solely focused on beauty. The left is the front of the mag and the right, is the back. Like any authentic Japanese reads, you read this from right to left. Btw, this is all in Japanese. I myself can't understand a single character, but there are enough pictures in there for me to (somewhat) understand what's going on. Lol.
I picked this up @ Kinokuniya Bookstore in San Francisco's Japantown. There was a HUGE selection of magazines for all types of fashion, beauty, cooking, etc. This one caught my eye since it featured an edgier style as opposed to all the cutesy-pink-fluffyness all around. Then I realized after I bought it that it was a Halloween edition. Still good! All full-color pages and kawaii galore~
Hairstyles~
Step-by-step Gyaru-type makeup application~ (LOVE THIS!) There's probably 12 pages or so on different Gyaru looks.
A gallery of RIDIC nails~
From what I can tell from all the photos on this section, is that they even show you how to take pictures with your phone! Lighting, settings and all!
A section featuring a popular model. Not familiar with her, but she's all over this mag.
Skincare and how to properly remove makeup featuring Japanese cosmetic brands.
The before and after photos are INSANE.
These are Kpop cds I bought from Richmond @ a Taiwanese bookstore. It's the closest place where I can purchase my Kpop. SHINee's Hello and the latest 2AM cd. The Shinee I bought for my sister, which is still shrink-wrapped. Lol.
The inside of 2AM's Saint O'clock. KWONNIE~
This are misc. items I bought from the huge Daiso in Daly City. These are the, "Too cute that I have to buy, but are too cute to use" items. Not to mention, these all cost me $2 each. Btw, those 'pills' you see are Ramune flavored candy! SO GOOD!
NOW we're getting to the good stuff!! These beauties I've purchased from Daiso as well. All these lashes cost me about $2 EACH. A few cost me $1.50 because they were on sale @ the branch in SF's Japantown. I am OBSESSED with these lashes. They're just so great! And insanely affordable! Each lash case comes with it's own glue, but I personally have never tried it since I'm skeptical about a glue with ingredients written in Japanese..that's just me. Others have tried it and say it's fine, but I like to use my standard Lashgrip, just bc I'm more sure of it.
Cross-types are my FAVE! They are just so natural.
These are the ones I usually wear. I bought about 4 pairs of these to stock up!
These lashes are good for layering and to add volume to your own lashes.
These are AMAZING. These lashes are for layering on your outer lash line to create an even more dramatic eye.
These are more natural and don't come with it's own glue.
This probably one of the best eyelash curlers I've ever had. For $2. @ Daiso.
These are Lioele samples I received @ Get Dolled Up, a really fantastic boutique in Richmond. They have a nice selection of Japanese and Korean beauty brands.
Get Dolled Up carries NYX products as well! Got 3 Megashine lip glosses in Beige, French Kiss and Frosted Walnut. The funky lookin' bottle is a NYX fruit gloss in Grape.
Swatches~ Left to right: Beige, French Kiss, Frosted Walnut, Grape.
This is my fave mech. pencil eyeliner. Got this @ a local beauty supply shop. This a very good quality eyeliner for a very cheap price. It's also waterproof. The photo below shows it applied, wet, then rubbed with a paper towel. Pretty good right? :)
I FINALLY BOUGHT a BB CREAM!! Made up my mind and got Skin79's Hot Pink. It was just suited for my skin type. The sample I got for it months ago totally helped my decision. More info about my first experience on here. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I'm more than glad to have chosen it. For my oily-combo skin, it just does a really good job at controlling it. And a pea-size amount is all I really need to cover my entire face. My face is huge btw. Haha. It also does a pretty good job at covering my pores w/o clogging them. Full review as soon as I use it long enough, but for now I'm super happy about it.
Swatch~
Thanks for reading! I'm sorry if it felt a bit rushed through, I'm trying my best to post as soon as I can since I'm still a bit dizzy and have a slight cold. The pictures have been in my draft for about two weeks and I'm just now adding the writing! Lol. Hope you enjoyed nonetheless! Hopefully I fully recover and I get to post more looks again! Time to put my head back down~ x.x
