So this past weekend I had the opportunity to do mini-makeovers on a handful of already gorgeous ladies, who in my opinion never needed the makeovers to begin with, but they insisted to have fun anyway. Of course, I couldn't say no to that. You mix makeup and a group of spunky women, without a doubt, there's some fun that's BOUND to happen. ;) Unforch, I only got a few photos from the weekend. The one above shows my Auntie Glo (left) and my cousin's wife, Ate Vernadette (right). They both wanted something subtle, but I kicked it up a bit and created a soft, smoky look for them. Note I used the SAME eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipliner, lipstick, and lipgloss colors on both.
I'd like to point out that Ate Vernadette is somewhat of a makeup virgin and has NEVER worn makeup except on her wedding day. I KNO RYTE?!?! Haha. She also has no experience with makeup whatsoever, except for a few attempts on liquid eyeliner. So I was beyond !!!STOKED!!! when I found out she wanted me to, "experiment on her face". Nothing makes me more excited than a fresh face. Just like a few weeks ago when I cleaned up her eyebrows. My first VIRGIN BROWS! HAHAHA. I plucked away at those suckers like there was NO tomorrow! I'm kind of sad that I didn't have my camera with me. Would've been great to have before and after photos. Poop.
Anyways, since Vernadette has the most fairest, most ivory skin, I didn't want to go to the EXTREME and and go all out dramatic as I would normally do. I didn't want for her to look in the mirror and run away from her own reflection. Don't want to scare the poor girl!
Her reaction to her makeup was probably one of the BEST reactions I have ever witnessed in my entire 22 years of living. I really don't think I could explain how excited and happy she was. She looked in the mirror and basically went nuts..in a good way. She just couldn't believe that was in fact her, staring right back.
I live for these moments.
